This attractive holiday cottage dates back to the 1800s. It is located with wonderful views of Glen Lyon, one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. The area around the cottage is particularly enchanting as some of the photographs show, including dramatic hills, open fields, mature trees and the River Lyon.  It is both a perfect base from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside, and somewhere to enjoy a little quiet time away from the hectic hustle and bustle of life.

Facilities: the cottage has one twin bedroom with ensuite shower room (a hairdryer is provided), one twin bedroom with bathroom next door, a dining/living room with log burning stove, and its well equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, large freezer, fridge, microwave, washing machine and ironing facilities.  There is garden furniture and a BBQ (please bring your own charcoal).  Wifi is available, but can sometimes be slow.   There’s television with DVD player and a sky dish: it has terrestrial channels and you will need your own card for sky channels.  There’s a 20-60x nature telescope to take in the views from the sitting room, or take with you on a walk.

What’s included: Gardener’s cottage is let on a fully furnished basis including all linen and towels.  Electricity, fuel, basic Sky channels and wifi are included in your rent, and if you use the telephone (no mobile reception) this will be billed after your stay.   Ainster, the estate keeper, may be able to help with outdoor activities subject to availability (for more info please see Estate Activities).

Children: A cot and high chair are available on request.

Dogs: House trained dogs are welcome. If muddy or wet, please ensure they are cleaned and dried before entering the cottage.  Dogs that might cause any damage must please be kept in your car.
