Comments from previous Chesthill House guests:

This large, comfortable and well run House (sleeps at least 15) sits in idyllic position above the river Lyon in Glen Lyon surrounded by the steep Scottish hills and an amazing array of beautiful well established trees. You can hear the river flowing by and the stags roaring in the hills. The house is really well equipped and country house comfortable. Many rooms have new en-suite bathrooms of very high quality. The kitchen, dining room and reception rooms are all just what is needed for a rugged Scottish holiday. The house exudes is Scottish heritage and it has a fascinating history. Tartan carpets and Antlers on the wall. it is a warm welcoming and cosy place to stay. The House, Estate, and sporting activities are run by Hamish and his partner Kay who go out of their way to make sure you get the very best out of the activities that are available. These include Stag and Hind stalking in the hills, fishing on the river Lyon or Lochs, Cycling, walking and site seeing. Nothing is too much trouble for Hamish and his team. The surrounding area is full of interest as there is masses to see without travelling too far. Glen Lyon itself is beautiful, especially when the leaves start to change. It is a children and dog friendly house. Cots and high chairs available. As I say, nothing is too much trouble and they have thought of everything. Don’t hang around you need to go there, I know I have been there at least 8 times and I enjoy every moment of it.  (Richard G – October 2017)

Back in the office today after the happiest of holidays! We had a really fantastic time. The house was tremendous and as I remember and Hamish and Kay were fantastic as was our cook, Francis. The children loved it from start to finish. (Hugo B – July 2017)

Just to say that we had a wonderful weeks stay at Chesthill- a real family holiday – slightly chaotic, lots of laughs , walks and fishing . Hamish and Kay were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay memorable in all sorts of ways- their knowledge of the area was incomparable and we appreciate that all that Hamish showed us. We would very much like to stay for 2 weeks next year (Ros M – April 2017)
