We are proud of the wildlife we have on the estate and do our best to help it. This includes: red deer, roe deer, red squirrels, otters, weasels, red grouse, black grouse. We also have golden eagles, buzzards, osprey, merlin, goshawks and white-tailed sea-eagles that nest nearby and are regularly visible.
For nature tours, tenants will be escorted by a guide, with whom they will discuss the nature they most want to see, and construct the day accordingly.
For photography stalking, you will use the same skills as deer stalking, including spying with binoculars or telescope, then once you have spied the deer, using ground cover and wind direction to get as close as possible to the deer for a photograph that might be a framer! These are wild animals and it will not be easy, but therein is the challenge!
